General

Type d'unité:

The parish church dedicated to St. John the Baptist and St. Barbara was erected in 1643 and founded by Jan Hilary Ulinski, the chorąży halicki (a state official in Poland who was entrusted with the national court or land ensign).

The church was renovated several times in the 18th c. In the 2nd half of the 19th c, the church was thoroughly renovated. The interior was decorated with a figurative polychrome, probably from the 17th c – the polychrome was renovated and filled in 1868. The church complex is surrounded by a wall in which a masonry bell tower is incorporated from the southern side, and two gates from the south and north.
