The currently existing Church was built in 1828 by the affords of Father Ivan Dobrzański and it was renovated in 1926. It was a filial Church of the parish in Izdebki, which was a part of the birczański deanery, and after World War I of the dynowski deanery.

In 1938 there were 40 Greek Catholics here. They were murdered in 1945. After the war, the Church was abandoned. In 1970, it was renovated and had since then operated as a roman catholic Church. The Church is oriented, built in carcass construction, one space, on an octagonal plan, covered with the, ridge, multi surface roof, with a turret (originally a bulbous helmet, now with pyramidal spire). The windows were originally round, during the renovation replaced with rectangular. Despite the transformations carried out during the recent renovation, there is an extremely readable, original, central spatial composition, rarely applied under construction of the orthodox churches in south-east Poland.
