Białowieski Park Narodowy
Park Pałacowy 11
17-230 Białowieża
Province: PODLASKIE

Park was founded at the end of the 19th c. near the Tsar's Palace erected in 1889-1894. Today, it features about 90 European, American and Asiatic tree and shrub species growing around two picturesque ponds.
On the palace hill a group of over-300-year-old pedunculate oaks grow. For tourists interested in the history and nature of the park we propose two educational paths equipped with information boards: the nature path, "The Trees of Palace Park", and a historic one, "The Monuments of Palace Park". The Białowieża National Park HQ is located in the Palace Park. Nature Education Centre, housed in a beautiful wooden building dating back to 1845, a former manor of the Governor of Hrodna District, provides stunning view of the park and its ponds. Most of the buildings in the Palace Park date back to the turn of 19th and 20th c., and remind of those Tsarist times – palace gate from 1894, old stables, the Marshal’s House from 1904, Hunter’s Lodge. At the entrance gate to the park, there is a Tourist Information point. The central part of the Palace Park is occupied by the Natural History Museum of the Białowieża National Park.
