The Wiśnicko-Lipnicki Landscape Park was set up in 1997. It is situated in north-eastern part of the Małopolska province and it mainly contains fragments of Wiśnickie Plateau. It covers the area of 14311 ha.
The south part of the Park prevails Carpathian beech forest but also the north forest growing on dry ground and mixed forest. Alder-ash marshes, piedmont marshes and Carpathian alder forests occur there. Out of the preserved plants Veratrum lobelianum, Carlina acaulis, Gentianella ciliata, Lilium martagon and a few spieces of orchids can be found. There is a great variety of preserved bat spieces: Plecotus auritus, Eptesicus serotinus, Myotis myotis, Myotis nattereri, Rhinolophus hipposideros and shrew-mouses spieces: Sorex araneus, Sorex minutus, Neomys fodiens, Neomys anomalus, Crocidura suaveolens. On the area of the Park ermines, weasels, dormuses, moles, eastern hedgehogs, otters and also 80 preserved bird spieces like: black storks, hawfinches, tree creepers, coalmouses and bottle tits can be found. The reserve of inanimate nature "Stone Mushroom" is situated on the north-eastern slope of Bukowiec hill in Połom Duży place. The reserve was created in order to protect a mushroom shaped stone, groups of rocks built of sandstone and fragments of a Carpathian beech forest. There is also the reserve of inanimate nature "Brodziński Stones" with groups of rocks built of sandstone. More: www.zpkp.republika.pl
